We are Funeral Proposals, an alternative/indie rock band out of Akron, Ohio. Funeral Proposals was started by Holden Shumate (Vocals/Guitar) and Ryan Hanlon (Guitar) in April of 2013. They soon added their good friend Samuele Gucciardo (Drums) in May of 2013. Starting off from scratch, the early Funeral Proposals sound introduced elements of punk and garage rock. As time went by and influences changed, they soon formed their sound on newly acquired tastes. Their main influences now being Weezer, Wavves, The Strokes and The Beatles, Their sound changed drastically. After three years of being a three piece band they introduced a new member, Justin Adkins (Bass/Backup Vocals) in Novemeber of 2016.
